What Is Routine Service?

Routine service is the standard option and what we recommend for most cases. Our $95 flat rate includes four attempts across different time windows — one before noon, one after 5PM, one on a weekend, and additional attempts at the server’s discretion.

What Is Rush Service in Florida?

Rush service means a process server will make an attempt within 48 hours of receiving your paperwork. This is ideal when you have a filing deadline approaching or a hearing scheduled soon. Rush service in Florida adds $60 to the base rate.

What Is Same Day / Emergency Service?

Emergency service is exactly what it sounds like — we make an attempt as soon as possible, within 24 hours of receiving your documents. This is the fastest option available and adds $150 to the base rate. It’s typically used when a restraining order, TRO, or emergency hearing requires immediate service.

What Slows Down Service of Process?

Several factors can extend the timeline:

• Evasive subjects — people who know they’re being served and actively avoid it
• Incorrect addresses — outdated addresses on court documents
• Gated communities — restricted access can delay attempts
• Business entities — serving a corporation requires finding the registered agent
• Out-of-state subjects — requires coordination with our partner network

What Happens If Service Can’t Be Completed?

Under Florida law (Chapter 48, Florida Statutes), if a subject cannot be personally served, there are alternative methods available including:

• Substitute service — serving another adult resident at the same address
• Service on a registered agent — for business entities
• Posting / constructive service — for evictions and certain civil matters
• Service by publication — when a subject cannot be located after diligent search

Hillsborough County (13th Judicial Circuit)
